Youth of Enterprise (YOE): 2024, What a Year!

Introduction

Youth of Enterprise (YOE) has had an eventful year! We made significant progress with advancing our vision and working to address the high unemployment and underemployment crisis in Nigeria.  Some of our key achievements in 2024 include:

Attracted 37,999 candidates into our talent pipeline in 2024, an indication of YOE’s appeal to the young Nigerian graduates. This cumulates to 89,000+ applications received since our launch in 2022.

Reached talents across all six geo-political zones with (60%) emerging from the South-West, (20%) North-Central, (9%) South-South, (6%) North-West, (3%) South-East and (2%) from the North- East.

Expanded our network of volunteers by 100%, with an addition of 73 professionals, exposing our talents to a diverse pool of professional human resources across various industries, who mentor and coach our participants.

Signed up new employers into our programme, including Eco Bank, Lotus Bank, Momo PSB, and Public and Private Development Center (PPDC).

Strengthened our commitment to foster equity and inclusion, with 56% of the participants being female and 20% coming from underrepresented states.

Launched our monthly masterclass series – an immersive training session facilitated by seasoned professionals from diverse walks of life, who make out time to teach and upskill our network of talents on in-demand skills for the workplace.

Participated in key industry events such as the Nigerian Employers Consultative Association (NECA)and Africa Social Impact Summit (ASIS) for increased exposure.

Spotlighted YOE at the recently held QMN event, where key stakeholders from the financial and professional sectors were gathered.
