At YOE, we dream of a Nigeria where every youth is not just employed but empowered. We work to achieve this by recruiting, upskilling, and placing deserving young university graduates in paid six-month-long and high-value internships with prestigious partnering organisations across the country.
The YOE Internship Programme is designed for ambitious and talented youths who seek to maximize the opportunities that we provide by empowering them with first-hand experience in the workplace to build professional competence and position them for long-term career success.
We are on a Mission
Founded in 2022, the Youth of Enterprise (YOE) Internship Programme is an initiative of EnterpriseNGR created to fulfil the overarching objective of driving human capital development in Nigeria. At the core of this initiative is EnterpriseNGR’s resolute commitment to tackling the prevalent challenges of youth unemployment and underemployment through YOE.
YOE has attracted applications from over 73,000 young people. Our programme has trained and placed over 1,300 quality talents across Nigeria. 54% of YOE participants are female and 20% of participants are from underrepresented regions in the country, thereby, promoting inclusion. Our programme boasts of over 32 employer partner organisations which are industry trailblazers.
By democratizing access to decent and globally relevant work experience among Nigerian youths, YOE is on a mission to drive an empowered and skilled workforce to end poverty and foster a sustainable economy in the country. Reports show that a high percentage of Nigerian youths lack the skills and knowledge required to secure job employment. YOE is bridging this gap through its highly resourceful Learning Management System (LMS) that exposes interns to quality skills required to remain relevant in the corporate world.

As a young graduate of Engineering origin, my career path seemed streamlined, and when my placement from YOE showed up, I was reluctant seeing it was in the banking subsector. I went ahead with it, and it made me realize that resolving customer-related challenges and seeing customers leave the banking hall is one thing capable of giving me job satisfaction. The YOE internship ignited my interest in technology as I specialized in Channels - Mobile App activation and related issues. For me, it was a great self-discovery. I advise anyone coming into the programme to be open and strive to make a positive impact.

YOE has truly lived up to one of its objectives of providing a first foot into the corporate world for Nigerian youths. Having had my previous experience in freelance alone, YOE allowed me to work in a well-structured organization, gaining solid experience. My key takeaway from the programme includes learning to set ambitious goals and achieve them, working harmoniously with diverse personalities, and thinking beyond myself to solve larger problems that impact the nation’s well-being. I can’t overestimate the support I received from senior colleagues during my internship journey. My advice to prospective applicants and current interns is to step out of the comfort zone of your mind.
